A proper ITAD process treats retirement with the same seriousness as deployment: every device gets accounted for, wiped, and verified before it leaves your control.
Here's the part that surprises a lot of IT and finance leaders: retired devices often still have real resale value, and that value drops the longer devices sit unused. A tablet or laptop that's obsolete for your use case may still be perfectly usable hardware for someone else.
